Dining With Firends is just around the corner. You still have time. Plan your party, invite your friends and join us for Myrtle Beach's Largest Dinnner Party!!

We have so much added fun this year. The After Party Celbration is going to be at the Clarion Hotel on the Waterway off Hwy 501. Pawley's Island Bakery is donating the desserts, Starbucks the coffee and Sea Cruz will entertain us! There is a fabulous Host Contest. The Host/Hosts who raise the most money will win an evening with Chef Peirce Culliton conplimnets of Frank's Restaurant and Bar in Pawleys Island. At a future date determined by you and Chef Culliton he will come cook dinner at your home for a party of eight! We also have a new Dining With Friends Weblink, www.diningwithfriendsmb.com. You can register as a host, your guest can register for your party online and they can donate to your party there as well. There are a couple open parties for people who want to attend a dinner.

World AIDS Day 2012

Come join us this year for a World AIDS Day candlelight vigil at the Skywheel in Myrtle Beach. There will be hot coco, compliments of our friends at Starbucks and popcorn. We look forward to seeing you this year.

World AIDS Day used to be time to remember those we have lost to HIV. That was when an HIV diagnosis meant death. Today, with early detection and early treatment, HIV is a chronic disease. We are also on the cusp of a major healthcare reform that will allow almost 1.2 million uninsured Americans living with HIV the medical insurance they need for the care they need and deserve. Learn more about the Affordable Care Act. It is not just spending money for “those who won’t work”. In this day and this economy, more and more employers don’t offer healthcare coverage and, healthcare insurance is not affordable most Americans. Most depend on employers to provide the coverage and that’s just not happening. In one the greatest and affluent countries in the world, what should be a basic human right, healthcare, is out of reach for most. Healthcare should not and cannot be something that you have only if you can afford it. Come help us celebrate the victories and plan ahead for the challenges. I hope to see you there.

2012 AIDS Walk and Health Fair

We are very excited to announce Careteam’s 2012 AIDS Walk and Health Fair on September 29th. Careteam’s AIDS Walk and Health Fair is a great event to raise awareness about health issues and HIV in our community. Careteam appreciates the support we’ve received from you during our previous events, and we hope that you will join us once again.

Our event will be held at Plyler Park on the corner of North Ocean Boulevard and 11th Avenue North. Registration is free, donations are accepted.

There will be free health screenings, HIV testing, live music and hot dogs. This year there will be an award for the team that has the most people participating in the AIDS Walk and the team that raises the most money.

Please come and support Careteam’s 2012 AIDS Walk and Health Fair. Help us raise awareness about HIV. An envelope is enclosed should you be unable to attend and wish to make a donation. Should you have further questions, please call me, Johanna, at 843-236-9000.
