Careteam

Careteam, Inc. is a non-profit organization established in 1993 and incorporated in February 1994. Careteam is dedicated to the empowerment of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS within the Waccamaw District, (Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg Counties). Careteam provides support to people living with the HIV disease (and their caregivers) through education, treatment resource, and advocacy services. This support includes access to medical care, medication assistance, housing subsidies, client transportation, food bank, emotional support, and companionship. All services are provided regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, physical ability, language, and socioeconomic status. Careteam has twelve years experience providing HIV/AIDS education, treatment, resource, and advocacy to HIV/AIDS infected individuals and their caregivers. Careteam is the only AIDS Service Organization providing direct client services, awareness and prevention education throughout the Waccamaw District.

Careteam has two office locations. Our main office is located in Myrtle Beach and we now have a satellite office open full time in Georgetown. You may contact our Myrtle Beach office by calling 843-236-9000 and in Georgetown at 843-546-8696.
